This is a complete tutorial of how to mix bass Logic Pro X with only the included stock plugins. I explain the Bass Amp Designer plugin and how to use it to enhance your DI tones. Next is compression, I use the regular Logic compressor in Vintage VCA mode for gentle control. After that is EQ, I use the regular channel EQ with a variety of boosts and cuts that helps the bass to sit nicely in the mix. The next step is saturation and enhancement with Logic's Phat FX plugin. Finally, I use a limiter to lock in the volume of the bass. I also offer a few bonus plugin tips that can be used situationally if more control is desired.
