Here's Why the Dragon Ball Super Manga Is Failing

The Dragon Ball Super Manga and the anime are now different canons. What does this for Dragonball Super going forward? What is the state of the DBS Manga after Chapter 85?

Can DB Super and the Granolah the Survivor Arc restore hype in the story where Ultra Ego Vegeta, Ultra Instinct Goku and Gas sustain the narrative or does Dragon Ball Super Super Hero show the quirks of the Toyotaro version of DBZ? Let's discuss.

You see, Haverok and I really liked the Granolah saga when it first began. It seemed to be a refreshing change of pace, talking about Saiyan lore from a different perspective. From a point of view where we hadn't explored and them enacting their revenge in a very surprising and, initially, illuminating manner. More Dragon Balls, more Namekian lore. It sounded to us like a perfect manner in which to talk more about the universe of the Dragon World...only it ultimately turned into an encounter which we are slowly starting to care less and less about...and it doesn't help that we have to wait a month every single time.

What does this all mean, Masako? Put simply, dear friend, it seems that the Super Manga is fast approaching the same cyclical issues again, that we had with the likes of the Moro saga. Wait, cyclical issues? Yes, that is the phenomena where we, when it comes to the final act of the arc, are really starting to feel exhausted with the whole ordeal. You know why we feel this way? It's because we really liked it at the beginning and to see it fall from grace like this makes it all the more galling to witness. I bet you can relate with any type of story, that you loved to begin with...and then it starts to drag on for a long time and ultimately ends with a lacklustre flourish...or it had been going for so long that you end up not caring how it concludes...this seems to be the case here. #dragonballsuper #dragonballsupermanga #dragonball #dragonballsupersuperhero #dragonballmanga #dragonballanime #goku #vegeta
