Reflection 💌

In the gospel of John, Jesus uses the metaphor of the vine and the branches to illustrate our relationship with Him. "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:5). This image speaks to the deep and vital connection we share with Christ. Just as branches draw their life and sustenance from the vine, we must stay connected to Jesus to experience the fullness of life He offers.

Abiding in Christ means to maintain a constant, intimate relationship with Him through prayer, reading His Word, and obeying His commandments. It's not just a one-time commitment, but a continuous choice to live in His love and truth. When we abide in Him, His Spirit fills us, and we naturally bear the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Devotion 🙌🏻

Lord, we come before you today, seeking to abide in you. Help us to remain connected to you in all we do, drawing our strength and sustenance from you alone. Let your Word dwell richly in us, guiding our thoughts, words, and actions. Teach us to trust in your presence and power, knowing that apart from you, we can do nothing. As we abide in you, may we bear much fruit for your kingdom, reflecting your love and grace to those around us. Grant us the patience and perseverance to remain steadfast in our faith, even in the face of challenges. May our lives bring you glory and honor, as we strive to live as your faithful branches. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
