She was the twin sister of Stefan Salvatore and younger sister of Damon. Damon thought the world of his sister whereas Stefan had mixed views. In 1864 Elizabeth was bitten by a werewolf proving the venom in a wolf bite was deadly to vampires, the death of their sister almost destroyed the boys lives but when they learn to realise she's been living with the one they feared most for a hundred and fifty years. They thought that now she was home they could finally be a family again but after spending so much time with the Original Vampires, their plan proved harder than they ever imagined.
