This is my review Mi TV 55 inch smart android TV, after using it for 1 week

The good things

The bad things

There few very prominent issues with this 55 inch so called 4 k TV.

The OS is from Patchwall. This is not smooth. The navigation sometimes hangs and sometimes jumps few screen. You have to use the unofficial app store called Aptoide. It is not guaranteed that all works perfectly. For me Google Chrome did not work after a week. Not sure what the issue is but, it started crashing aster installing Google play services. After factory reset, the chrome started working.

Though this TV has a 4k resolution, it doesn't play all the 4k content. The are some codec issues. And also it depends on the USB type, that is, USB 2.0 or USB 3.0. use the later version or USB so that the data transmission rate will be higher and you may see smooth palyback.

Tired with .webm content, downloaded from YouTube using ss method, which did not play at all. But there was no error message. Just stuck at some point as if we are seeing an image.

Tried to convert the .webm to MP4 using cyberlink video editor. This video also did not play. It said this video cannot be played.

I found one fix, at least for now. I installed tubemaate in the TV and downloaded few 4K videos. These videos played flawlessly. It was very smooth.
