Most RPG systems are built to capture the feel of a single genre, but some just refuse to be placed in a box like that. While more focused systems are usually better at their specific niche, generic systems are still useful for more unorthodox campaigns or mashups of multiple genres. In this video, I run through the three generic systems that I've run, which also happen to be three of the most popular: Savage Worlds, Fate, and GURPS.
