We love travelling locally, to destinations with natural beauty . One such place is Velhe...a biodiversity hotspot with around 80 species of birds living in this area.I see raw beauty in this place..It's surrounded by views of lush green Sahyadris and 2 forts,Torna and Rajgad.There is plenty of information on the web about it...
I love writting about my personal experiences. I want my children to read my posts when they grow up...My posts will surely bring back some memories.Hope all current social media platforms survive for next few decades!

So this time we chose to stay at Serene Eco Village.
The property was bought by Dr Pravin Chordia in the year 2000. The entire land was barren then. The natural forest had been destroyed inspite of Sahyadri being a heavy rainfall region.
Dr Pravin Chordia and his family started reforestation in 2001 by planting some 2,50,000 trees.
Commendable work on reforestation. They have a team of Doctors who conduct many workshops on MedicineFree Life. We did'nt book for the workshops but we booked a 1 night stay at the resort.

This resort is not a luxury resort like many would expect...The purpose of this eco village is very different. They want us to enjoy being in nature instead of sitting by a swimming pool and lazing around the whole day...Although we mothers need such lazy days, I believe kids need to trek ,walk and explore .
The resort gives a very homely feel with its leveled farmland, tall trees and piping hot satvik food.The facilites although basic, are very neat and rooms are kept clean and that is what I wanted this time ...I wanted our children to live basics and admire raw nature, trek around and enjoy the healthy satvik food cooked at the Resort and how can we not mention about the bornefire with Antakshari.These are the things I want my children to see , learn and grasp so they will have more respect for Nature and Planet Earth when they grow up.

Every trip I spend some time photographing nature and family pictures but the drone is even better as I get to capture a lot in few minutes.

I would like to thank Nikhil Kothari from Serene Eco Village for giving us all the personal attention and introduce us to the millets and black rice. I enjoyed buying some organic products from the Eco-Store :)
