After you have learned the wheel process you can now begin to develop a cup or mug shape. I recommend using tried and true cup shapes from any culture or time period. You can easily search the internet a find these idea sheets. Once you have chosen a few learn how to shape your cylinder into your newest cup style. Hope this helps on your journey.
