Mirella Sementilli resumes her testimony on days 10 and 11 where the prosecutor covers Monica’s trips (with Robert Baker), shopping for homes and cars, and when Mirella’s reaction when she finds out about the arrest. On cross, Monica’s defense attorney questions Mirella about multiple points including her meetings with police and prosecutors to her appearance on the 48 Hours episode covering this case. The cross ends with Mirella describing how the relationship with her nieces (Monica’s daughters) became strained after the murder.

Summary of the Case: #MonicaSementilli is charged with conspiring to murder her husband of almost 20 years, #FabioSementilli, a famed Hollywood hairdresser. Monica had been living a double life, carrying on a steamy affair with a man named Robert Baker when the 2017 stabbing death occurred while Fabio was relaxing on his back deck. Baker himself, along with another man, Chris Austin, were responsible for carrying out the brutal attack. Baker pled no contest to the charges of 1st degree murder & conspiracy in 2023 and is serving life. Austin was arrested late last year and plead guilty just earlier this month (Jan 2025) – He will be testifying in exchange for a 16-year-to-life prison sentence.
