A second pro-Palestinian encampment accompanied by protests at UCLA clashed with law enforcement, the same day Chancellor Gene Block testified before Congress on Capitol Hill.

Video of the scene shows several protesters putting up large pieces of wood and metal barriers outside of Kerckhoff and Moore halls.

LAPD gave dispersal order and warned demonstrators inside and around the building to leave or they will be arrested. It’s unclear if any arrests were made. Protesters then took over DODD hall after leaving Kerckhoff, Moore and Murphy halls.

This comes as House Republicans summoned the leaders of UCLA, Northwestern University and Rutgers University to testify about concessions they gave to pro-Palestinian protesters to end demonstrations on their campus.

In his opening remarks, UCLA Chancellor Block admitted shortcomings in the university's response to the original encampment, saying it should have acted sooner.

Police dismantled the first encampment on Apr. 30, and there were more than 100 arrests.

UCLA Chancellor Block is set to retire at the end of July. The police chief at UCLA was also recently reassigned.
