Best anchor types.

In this video, captain Cody shows how to retrieve an anchor with anchor buoy attached to an anchor ring. The actor is set in about 400 feet of water. There is 600 feet of anchor chain set out and 75 feet of anchor chain. this would be extremely difficult to pull in by hand. It would also require a powerful windlass anchoring system. The fast and easy way to pull the anchor is with an anchor buoy.

As I mention in the video never tie the anchor line to the middle or back of the boat as the can make the boat flip or get submerged in water and sink. There are stories of this happening so only tie the anchor line near the front for the boat.

When retrieving the anchor drive upwind into the waves. This will make it so one the anchor is retrieved the boat drifts toward the buoy and the line can easily be gathered.

Thanks for watching,

Captain Cody
