We want our kids to understand the word Gay and explain what this word means to us. This word describes their two dads, and we want to ensure they know that word is a word we celebrate. In the Pride theme of all things rainbow, we thought it would be fun to have these discussions while building something as a family with classic LEGO bricks. #ad The kids came up with the idea of a rainbow house, and we thought that was perfect. Us dads are the G in LGBBTQ+, but we wanted them to know another G-word that describes their dads: grateful. We are so grateful to live in a time where we can legally get married, have children and create this home to raise our beautiful children. Teachable moments through play have always been a way for us to connect as a family, and doing it through LEGO bricks was perfect. Meet our family. We are Dustin and Burton, gay dads, and proud parents of our twins, Stone and Holland Buffaloe. We created our family vlog, "Raising Buffaloes," as a resource for all. We are an All American Family, who happen to be gay parents through surrogacy.
