Part #3 Testing The Ol' Atlantic, She's Alive!... Somewhat...

A Lunenburg Foundry 4 Horsepower "Atlantic" from the early to mid 20th century. This "Make and Break engine" is mounted in a traditional vessel in which I have just completed rebuilding, which is 21 years old and has been passed between 5 different owners. It is my first boatbuilding project ever, and my first major mechanical project. I bought the boat on June 17th, 2022.

The engine was gifted to me as a seized hunk of cast iron in March of 2022, and I have since been working toward its operational use in this boat. with some more minor tuning, the engine should run and breathe life back into this old vessel once more.
