This painting was my daughters idea. She wanted to see a painting of a butterfly with one realistic wing and the other as an abstract wing.

The fun thing with this painting is that after you have done the realistic wing with all the fine details and textures you can go crazy with the abstract side and just play with the paint and splatters.

I tried to keep the colous in the different areas more or less the same, so that the butterfly would still look like a unified piece of art.
