Here's a rare sight: two charter private cars join the Starlight as it journeys, very late, back to Seattle; where the Pullmans' started from on Aug 30. I have a video of that that you should check out to see these cars more clearly (the one where the final clip in this video is taken from)!

The first is owned by Chuck Jensen, who restored it himself (with some help) and rents it out. It is a slightly converted Union Pacific 10-6 Sleeper, now a 9-6 with the one becoming a bathroom. Rates not found. Both served as Amtrak cars during its early days.

The second is from Pennsylvania Pullman, a who offers this former Chesapeake & Ohio sleeping car modified to also be a dining, lounge, and observation combo starting at a mere $2500/day plus Amtrak charges (includes two crew). They have several other cars in their fleet either available or coming soon.

As a bonus, there is a Amtrak Winter Park Express ad wrapped Superliner, second from the end (not counting the Pullmans).

An easy way to tell between a Superliner I and Superliner II is their trucks. I's have Waggon Union MD-76 trucks while II's use the GSI G70 trucks. The baggage car uses the GSI's as well. The drop equalizer beam makes the newer trucks distinct.
