Spain Travel Guide: Barcelona, Madrid, Montserrat! [4K]

In this video, we present a Spain Travel Guide that covers some major cities, such as Barcelona, Madrid, San Sebastian, etc, but also just some things to do, like Montserrat.

Here's the basic info and the do's and don's when visiting Spain!

Transportation costs are moderate: $250/wk for rental car and ~$50/80 to cross the country via train (single trip)

Frequent tolls of $1-5 on the highways, so budget this extra expense ($60 for our week long driving adventure)

English friendly in major cities, less so as you get into more rural areas

Overall cost is comparable to US, but fuel is expensive (use diesel)

Similar to all of Europe, dining experiences take time - must look for Tapas/Pinchos bars if want quick service (grab and pay)

www.Booking.com worked well for accommodations, from 150-300 night for 3 people

Cuisine (esp outside of major cities) is mainly bread/pasta, meats and cheese - don't expect too many vegetables or fruit - but be sure to try Paella and Tapas/Pinchos

Parking within city usually $20-30 for 24 hrs depending on if major city or not

Barcelona specific: reserve tours of Sagrada Familia & Guell park ahead of time

Schedule: everything closed 1-3, sometimes hard to find lunch, dinner starts at 7 at the earliest, but most are eating around 8 or 9, with drinks beforehand

Download Gmaps ahead of time: they work great in Spain, no need for Wifi/Internet connection to navigate

Most cafes will give you wifi password if you eat/drink something

Pre-departure: get tickets for the Sagrada Familia Basilica, Guell Park, Winery Tours (recommend Contino in Logrono)
