Hey, it's Andrea Gribble, and today we're going to talk about Instagram.

We hope that you're using Instagram to celebrate your school. But you might be asking, "What should we post?" Well, you should be sharing great photos of your students and your staff. Grab the best pictures that you have and put those on those platforms. Your audience on Instagram is probably your students and your young parents. So make sure you're featuring all ages.

Now you might be sharing some pictures on Facebook of a big event. Well, grab the best pictures, you can share up to 10 in one Instagram post, and just use those best photos there. You can also include motivational type posts. So if you've got a great image and you put a quote on it, those are great things to put out on Instagram.

And also if you have a special recognition, put those out there. It's going to lead to a lot of hearts, which is what you're after. Instagram you don't get a lot of comments, but you are going to drive those hearts. And if you're ever wondering, "What should we be posting?" Well look back at old posts and see what posts are doing well. That's a hint. Post more of that.

Now don't post flyers. Basically, those look horrible on your grid. Once they've passed, it's kind of old information. Don't post flyers. Don't post landscape photos, okay. You want to make sure that the grid view looks great. And also don't post bad pictures. You don't want bad pictures out there. You only want the very best of the best.
