This webinar was a part of CUGH's 2025 Virtual Global Health Week.

Summary: After 30 years of health improvements around the world, funding cuts to global health could put lifesaving health care at risk between now and 2030, according to the latest annual report, Financing Global Health (FGH), released by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. The report incorporates information on the latest aid cuts announced by major donor governments. New figures track current and future donor contributions toward health improvement and maintenance in low- and middle-income countries, known as development assistance for health (DAH). The seminar will present key findings for the report highlighting recipient countries and health areas likely to be most impacted by the cuts and projections of future availability of funding till 2030 thus providing timely information for global health stakeholders as they adjust and plan in the new era for global health financing.
