Kheti Virasat Mission (KVM) feels proud to introduce the work and techniques of the young innovative farmer Baljeet Singh Kang from Dhahan village in Nawasahar district of Punjab. He has been practicing Organic Farming since 2010 on 4.5 acres and got the expertise of vegetable cultivation without any bio-inputs. He uses green manure and crops residue for the fertility of the soil. Apart from this he believes in the natural system of air, water and light. Each and every vegetable is grown on the beds so that it gets proper photosynthesis, aeration and adequate water. According to the water requirement of the vegetables, sowing pattern is determined. By sowing vegetables on the beds, weeds are controlled automatically. He cultivates all kinds of seasonal vegetables, fruits, mustard, wheat, millet and flax seeds. He is one of the progressive organic farmers.
