Plot: On November 26, 1925, Keiichi is separated from his parents while gathering wood in the forest. Keiichi is almost eaten by a pack of wolves, but he kills them all with a hatchet he had brought along to chop wood with. Fast forward to December 4, 1927. Keiichi has beaten his friends Rena and Mion to death with a baseball. As he writes a note explaining his actions, we see a series of flashbacks. Keiichi's experience with the wolves caused him have an intense hatred for them or any thing that looks like them, including dogs. He lives in a town of dog lovers, and he can't bear to think that anyone coul love such vicious creatures. We see that he claimed nine ther lives (Krauss, Gohda, Rosa, Kyrie, Rudolf, Shannon, Makoto, Tamae, and Teppei) before Rena and Mion. He runs out of the house to kill his next target, the half-wolf Balto. Keiichi bashes him down a hill onto a lake of thin ice. Shion, Battler, and Balto's wife and friends rush to the scene after hearing the commotion. Shion is horrifie at what she sees. Just whne it seems that Balto will fall into the lake and freeze to death, Battler, having realized that it was Keiichi who killed six members of his family, shoots him with a shotgun he had brought along just in case. The police investigate the crime scene and discover the note. Shion weeps for the loss of her friend. Balto watches her, overcome with pity, and walks away.
