(-1/2)! Factorial? How is this even possible?

Описание к видео (-1/2)! Factorial? How is this even possible?

In this video, we find the value of (-1/2)! using the gamma function, and polar coordinates. It is fun to think about given that the Gamma function is defined for nonnegative integers. So we convert the problem to Gamma function problems and then use the definition of the Gamma function to get the value by practicing some robust integration techniques. We first start with a u-substitution which is ok but then has to apply a trick to be able to use polar coordinates to finish it off.
