Nevada Northern Engine 93 Returns to Steam!

January 1909, Nevada Northern engine 93 emerged from the erecting halls of Alco and made her debut into the world. Since 1993, she has been a workhorse of the Nevada Northern Railway Museum. In 2002, she underwent a complete rebuild before traveling to the Heber Valley Railroad to help shuttle Olympic spectators to and from the various venues of the 2002 Winter Games. February 2017, 15 years after the games ended, she was due for another rebuild and boiler inspection. The rebuild could not have been timed any better, as in early January the finishing touches were installed and she was brought up to pressure to ensure everything was as it should be. January 13, 2018, 11 months after she went into the shop, she has re-emerged as beautiful as ever and sporting new red striping on her flanks.
