For the past ten years, Vander Vennen has enjoyed working with mixed media assemblage and now has re-imagined that artform in this series of sculptures.

“….my contemporary compositions invite connection with ancient wisdom and emergent stories through engagement with the natural world. This work pushes that form into the sculptural realm, exploring new possibilities of shadow and light, and invites a deeper dialogue with place.” Alice Vander Vennen

She trained as a sculptor at Calvin College, USA, and also at the Ontario College of Art and Design. Alice Vander Vennen’s work is in public, private and corporate collections both here and abroad.
