In the Garden of Ridvan: Day 9

Описание к видео In the Garden of Ridvan: Day 9

Every year Baha'is around the world commemorate the 12 days in which Baha'u'llah, the prophet-founder of the Baha'i Faith spent in this garden declaring his mission of peace, unity and love. Today, Baha’is will observe the ninth day of the annual Ridvan festival (pronounced: rez-vahn) – a day with a joyful significance for every Baha’i.

On this particular day in 1863, the waters of the Tigris river in Baghdad, which had reached flood levels, receded enough for Baha'u'llah's family and followers to safely cross and join him in the garden. Baha'is celebrate this day to commemorate the unification of the human family and the great declaration Baha'u'llah made in these days.

In honor of the 9th Day of Ridvan, this video combines visual effects by Setareh Samandari and Habib Zagarpour with an original score by renowned composer Jack Lenz to imagine what that glorious day would have looked like.
