Sweat Soldering With Soft Solder - Moonstone & Labradorite Part 2

In Part 2 of “Sweat Soldering with Soft Solder” we continue with the technique of attaching a soldered cabochon to the copper metal sheet from underneath with a micro torch using only Silvergleem soft solder! Join me in experimenting with two different gemstones & metal sheet designs

Soft Soldering tools:
- Hakko FX601 soldering iron Amazon.com
- Burnishing tool (popsicle stick, smooth stone, bone burnished, etc)
- Disposable brush (trim bristle head) Any hardware store
- Personal safety mask, eye ware & a fan
- Chain nose pliers dedicated to soldering!!!****IMPORTANT as flux will affect these tools
- Wire cutter as needed
- Xuron tweezer nose pliers
- ImpressArt hole punch
- Heat resistant mat from Amazon
- Sizzix SideKick embossing machine
- Embossing folders
- Tripod with metal screen
- Bernzomatic micro torch

Materials used:
- Silvergleem lead-free soft solder Amazon
- Oatey No. 5 paste flux Any hardware store
- Copper foil (many different type’s depending on your project) Amazon
- 70% rubbing alcohol to pre-clean all items that will be soldered
- 26 gauge copper sheet metal
- Gemstones from Soul Star Crystals on Facebook
- Liver of Sulfur
- Baking Soda
- Wet/Dry sand paper
- Jump rings
- Chain or cord
- Novacan Copper Patina
- Paper towels for clean up
- Dawn dish soap for cleanup
