This is the story of partition 1947 of the Sikhs and Hindu Khatris of village Vern and village Lalke.
The partition story is being told by a 95-year-old Muslim elder who is a resident of this village. This elder knows the Sikhs and Hindus of Varna, Isharke, Jandiala Sher Khan, Chabhar and Lalke. His father was a resident of Lalke village.
Esar Singh's brother had become They used to share in each other's marriages and sorrows. When esar Singh's daughter got married, the father of this Muslim elder gave a dowry to the daughter of his Sikh friend. Esar Singh had two sons, Sohan Singh and Mohan Singh Hanjara.
