Manoj Ghimire is the Chief Executive Officer of Smart Choice Technologies Limited (SCT), a Payment System Operator licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank. He brings extensive experience in digital banking, operations, and card services, having served at leading institutions including Bank of Asia Nepal, NIC Asia Bank, Sunrise Bank, and Laxmi Sunrise Bank.

Before joining SCT, he led the Cards and Digital Payments domain as Head of Card Services at Laxmi Sunrise Bank, where he built a strong track record in internal process automation and business process re-engineering initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and customer experience.

At SCT, Mr. Ghimire drives digital transformation through innovations in card payments, digital payment infrastructure, and fintech collaboration, contributing to Nepal’s broader journey toward a cash-lite economy. He is a committed advocate of interoperability, transparency, and good governance across industry forums.

Mr. Ghimire also represents Nepal on the global stage, serving as a Regional Board Member of the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) and as part of the UnionPay International Regional Council, promoting secure, modern, and inclusive payment ecosystems in the region.
