Inihayag ni National Security Adviser Eduardo Año na nagpadala na ng barko ang Philippine Coast Guard para magbantay sa Escoda Shoal kapalit ng BRP Teresa Magbanua.

Gayunman, naantala ang patrol operations nito dahil sa masamang lagay ng panahon sa lugar.
