[Mindful Canada] He Bites Me When the Camera’s Off 🐶🥺

In this video, I used Toby’s Christmas present, a new wireless clipper https://amzn.to/4iWyuQx , and tried not to cut his hair too short because it’s still cold outside. Now, Toby looks like a mix between a fluffy sheepdog and a wild lion (Check Community post).His hair might look messy, but that’s just his style. One roll on the ground, and he looks like he hasn’t seen a brush in weeks!
The process wasn’t easy. When we lived in midtown, Toby was a friendly and calm dog. But since moving to North York, he’s had a few bad experiences with large dogs. After being attacked a couple of times (one even sent me to the emergency room), Toby is always on guard. He’s protective and nervous, which makes grooming even more difficult.
Tonight, when I tried to brush him, Toby wasn’t happy. He gave me a look that said, “Don’t you dare touch me with that brush!” Then he actually tried to bite me a few times. I think he was just saying, “Enough is enough!”
When will I finish his haircut? Honestly, I don’t know. Maybe next week, maybe next month. For now, Toby is rocking his half-finished look, and I think he’s okay with it because I am falling asleep. It’s 2:11am and I have to wake up early 🙊🙉🙈
