A request from my Aunt Lyn in memory of my Aunt Patti, Tom’s heartbreaking arrangement of Over the Rainbow (originally a birthday present for my dad) is usually one that we approach more seriously — sentimentally, even — but Patti loved puppies and laughter and I don’t believe any of the Urioste siblings would take issue with our comedic liberties in this version for #UriPosteJukeBox. The opportunity to introduce both a costume element AND a four-legged guest star was simply too irresistible to pass up; accordingly, I spent much of this take trying to stifle giggles both at Tom’s Tin Teletubby of Oz hat and our rather undisciplined “Toto” (a.k.a. Joey) who was click-clacking around, enjoying a round of post-performance zoomies out of frame. What a diva.

NB: Tom’s costume is in no way metaphoric as he’s already got the biggest heart of all time, Dorothy WISHES she could’ve worn ruby “slippers” this comfy, and as for my beloved Aunt Patti… we miss you every day. 💙🌈
