On our channel Discover Wild Paws, you have seen a lot of videos of wildlife safaris. But today, we are going to show you the history of one of the best tiger reserves in India. Today, we are going to hear the legendary story of the formidable Ranthambore Fort.

The fort is open to all tourists from 6 am in the morning to 6 pm in the evening. You can come here in a jeep, or you can come in your personal car or motorcycle. The fort entrance is right at the opposite end of the Jogi Mahal gate, the entry gate of Zone 3.

There is no entry ticket to the fort. It’s free for all. But there are official tourist guides here which you can take along. They will give you a tour and tell you about the history of the fort. The price for the guide is Rs. 650 but it is negotiable.

The history of Ranthambore is filled with the bravery and kindness of King Hammir Deva, the betrayal of his three commanders, and the conquest of this fort by Alauddin Khilji. And all of this happened, only because King Hammir Deva decided to offer shelter to Mohammed Shah, Alauddin Khilji’s biggest enemy.

But there is no fun in listening to this story from me. The story sounds best in the local language of our expert from Ranthambore. Please listen carefully to fully understand the history of this fort and you will be blown away with how much more Ranthambore has to offer its visitors.

Every nook and corner of the forts in ancient India were built with a purpose. The purpose was to fight off the enemies and to help the king rule the kingdom better.

You need a total of 2 hours to enjoy the fort nicely. Even without a guide, it makes no sense to simply rush to the temple and come back. You must spend time at every iconic spot and feel what it was like to live in this fort, hundreds of years ago.

During our visit to Ranthambore, we went to zones 2,3,4, and 5. In total, we saw 4 different tigers. We are working on the wildlife vlogs and you will get more videos on our channel soon. So if you are new to our channel, please subscribe and hit the bell icon.

For those who don’t know, this Ranthambore Fort was declared UNESCO World Heritage in 2013. There are so many battles this fort has seen. If only the walls could speak what they have witnessed in the past centuries.

Let us know in the comments if you have been to this fort earlier. If not, are you convinced to go once on your next trip to Ranthambore?

Thank you for watching the video till the end. We will be back soon with more wildlife content. Till then, keep discovering wild paws.
