Hey guys! This is a video showing me fighting against Shroud on hard mode with a skill/mod power build. This is not a min-maxed build in terms of dealing the most damage in the quickest amount of time. It's more about fun and variety for me, as I easily get bored with the usual gun/weapon damage builds.

BUILD:
The goal of this build is to use your skills as often as possible by generating mod power
as quickly as possible.

Cultist Armor set
You crits generate 50% more mod power, so you'll want to crit harder & more often

Galenic Charm
"Damage taken by enemies awards 50% of the damage as mod power" which probably means half of your damage for every hit
is also generated as mod power for your skills

Braided Thorns ring
+15% crit hit chance for 6 secs after a kill

Jewel of the Black Sun ring
+5% ranged damage for 10 secs after a ranged kill, stacks up to 4 times for a total of +20% ranged damage.
Can be replaced depending on preference & luck

Assault rifle, beam rifle, or hunting rifle
The first two are preferred, as high rate of fire means more chances to crit, which also translates to more mod
power generated. I'm using hunting rifle at the moment as I don't have the assault or beam rifle yet. Hunting rifle is also
viable due to the Galenic Charm = bigger hits = bigger mod power generated, specially when your crit, or hit a weakspot, or both

-Long gun mod: Swarm
Deals decent damage; homing/tracks enemies; tons of fast hits mean lots of crits, which also means more mod power generated

Defiler hand gun
Heavy hitter; boss/mini-boss killer; multiple bullets per shot also means more chance to crit;
alt-fire/mod skill Radioactive Volley deals huge damage up-close

Guardian Axe
Each hit generates 100% of its damage as mod power for your guns. I rarely melee with this build though. Only when there's one or two enemies usually. Still, this supports the theme of the build.
