Not long ago, Fleet Equipment went On The Road to Work Truck Week 2025 in Indianapolis, where Isuzu medium-duty trucks were front and center. Isuzu Commercial Truck of America showed up with more than a dozen trucks, focused on two key themes: capability and flexibility.

Isuzu medium-duty trucks highlighted the company’s ability to serve fleets with varying needs. Brian Tabel, Assistant Vice President of Marketing, explained one of the configurations on display:

"This is our FVR and it's the FVR de-rate. So the FVRs are 33,000 pounds, but we de-rate it down to 25,950."

Isuzu also featured a Class 6 FTR hauler with a Cummins B6.7 diesel engine and an Allison transmission. And a Red Bull-branded NRR EV underscored Isuzu’s move into electrification, but that was only one part of the company's message.

The star of the booth may have very well been the Ultimate Craft Beer Truck. Partnering with Indianapolis-based Sun King Brewing, Isuzu showed off a high-profile upfit designed to serve cold beverages on the go.

"Right now, because at the Work Truck Show we can't pour beer, we're pouring Nitro coffee, but one of the trucks back here in a couple of weeks, it will be pouring beer."

The booth also featured the diesel-powered NRR, which shares a cab refresh across the lineup. Additionally, with Class 3-6 options and diesel, gas, and electric powertrains, Tabel said fleets can upfit the N-Series platform to meet diverse needs.

"Anything they really want to get upfitted—from a craft beer truck to a fuel truck. We have a glass truck back here, you know stake bed, van body—you name it, it can go on the back of it. You dream it and someone will build it for you."
