Barbara Dennerlein -- DANCING SHOES -- Feat. Dennis Chambers

Описание к видео Barbara Dennerlein -- DANCING SHOES -- Feat. Dennis Chambers

If you've every wondered why Dennis Chambers is Barbara's favorite drummer, this clip should help you to understand. Chambers began drumming at age 4, and at six he was already playing in nightclubs in his native Baltimnore. At 18 he joined Parliament-Funkadelic, and joined John Scofield's band in 1986 -- the rest is history, and now he plays with the great Carlos Santana.

He connected instinctively with Barbara musically and she quickly recognized his natural gifts and intuition. Despite his busy schedule, he played on several of her albums: TAKE OFF!, JUNKANOO, and THAT'S ME.

Thankfully we have one of the concerts they played together on video. You'll notice I recently uploaded this song, DANICING SHOES, from a TV appearance with a big band. That version was short with very tight arrangements. By contrast, this version has room for everyone involved to improvise.

It is another smoking performance -- actually it is an encore. The concert was broadcast in two parts. First was IT'S ME which ended before the encore. The encore was broadcast later as IT'S ME AGAIN.
