Tap on your TikTok app and log in to your account using your credentials.
Assuming that you watched and liked the video, tap on the ‘Me’ button to display your profile’s page screen.
Tap on the ‘Liked Videos’ tab. It has a heart-like icon.
Got to your video and tap on it. The video will be zoomed in and will start to play immediately.
Tap on the ‘Share’ button. A split-screen of options will be displayed.
Tap on the ‘Save Video’ icon next to the ‘Report’ one. The download will start immediately by showing a growing percentage. When it finishes, a ‘Video saved’ label will appear briefly.
Now, get off the app and go to your ‘gallery’ app so that you see the downloaded video. If you’re using Google Photos, tap on the app and the downloaded video will show there.
This might not be what you expected but it serves the same purpose. You get to watch your video, although offline, without captions blocking your view.

Hiding the caption of your video
In a nutshell, this is what you should do:

Open the app and get to your video.
Save it and then re-uploaded it.
Do not type anything on the captions box.
Your video will be uploaded and although the captions will not be hidden, they will be absent. Remember our educated assumption – enjoying a video without a caption that blocks viewing.

TikTok should make it able for users to tap away rather long captions.

Also, if you’re uploading videos for people to watch, don’t make them struggle too much.
