Ofe Uziza made with utazi and ugu is one delicious local soup that is under rated. It is mostly prepared by the south eastern region of Nigeria but can be eaten by anyone or tribe because of its great taste and nutritional value. However, this video explains the use of other vegetables(utazi and ugu) in preparing Uziza soup for a different but unique taste.


The best part of this soup is the fact that it can be enjoyed with any swallow of your choice....Eba,fufu, pounded yam,wheat,semovita...name it!

To make this soup,I used these INGREDIENTS
*Uziza leaf
*Utazi leaf
*Ugu leaf
*meat
*stockfish
*dryfish
*cocoyam(ede ofe)
*palm fruit(ak2u)
*Crayfish
*fresh pepper
*ogiri igbo(optional)
*salt for taste
*seasoning cube(knor)
