This one isn’t mine—I’m helping a friend rescue his Beetle, pulling it back into the light after decades of neglect. It’s very rusty, worn down by time, and will require a lot of work to ever see the road again. Right now, it may or may not even be safe—but that’s part of the honest reality of rescuing old Volkswagens.

At Pistons & Pines, it’s never just about the car. It’s about the stories, the people, and the long road between where something was left behind and where it might end up again. This Beetle represents another chapter in that journey—one built with hands, patience, and the belief that old things still deserve a chance.
