My remix of 'Step by Step' by Braxe + Falcon and featuring vocals from Panda Bear of Animal Collective, I remember very well buying a copy of the EP and listening to the whole project they had conceived, 'Creative Source' being a classic throwback to the heyday of French house, 'Elevation' which features vocals from Sunni Colon and has a real downtempo and funky vibe to the track, 'Love Me' also incorporates elements of French house by sampling and chopping stuff up with some acoustic drums in the mix but in my opinion the highlight is 'Step by Step' which also features acoustic drums and uses analogue equipment in the process. The song features a fresh vocal performance by Panda Bear AKA Noah Lennox and the sound of his vocals are something else but in such of a great way, he feels very relaxed in a way singing his parts and going a little higher in his register vocal wise but it still has an amazing feel to it. The instrumental also feels very laidback kind of like a ballad almost and there's a vocal drone you can hear in the background throughout the song.

I approached this remix in a pretty careful way by speeding up the tempo a little from 73 BPM (beats per minute) to 90 BPM so it still has a feel of slowness but slightly rapid too. I used some acoustic drums as well and added some reverb to them and I edited in and out parts of the track to give it that Fluence feel and I personally enjoy this remix I did. I've listened to other remixes of the track and I do think each of them has its own style such as the Axel Boman remix or the Junior Sanchez remix and I just think my remix feels a little more lively and danceable but music is very personal and each person has its own feel towards it.

This is one of my favourite remixes that I produced after the 'Stop' remix, I really like the production that was done on it, it's most definitely not your typical club remix because of its tempo, it's more of a ballad type of track honestly and it gave me the chance to explore different sounds and tempos that are not always club-oriented and I want to make more tracks with a twist so that it feels unique as you listen to it.
