Here’s how to make your vocals sit perfectly in a mastered beat using sidechain EQ. Compression and level matching usually aren’t enough, so this trick gives you extra space and clarity without changing the beat.

For this tutorial, I’m using the Waves F6, but you can apply this trick with any dynamic EQ.

Here’s the method:
🎧 Identify the fullness of the vocal, in this case, around 500Hz
🎚 Place the Waves F6 on the beat
🔗 Sidechain the F6 to the vocal track
⬇ Reduce around 500Hz only when the vocal is playing

This creates space for your voice without touching the beat permanently. Clean, controlled, and super effective.
