Tesla recently released details about the new powertrain design that will be used in their next generation vehicles at their recent Investor day, but I have found clues that suggests that Tesla may have already switched over to a hairpin stator design for Model 3/Y vehicles coming out their new factories. This means that partial iterations of their next gen powertrains are almost certainly already in production and being used in the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y today!
