The Bard - August In The Twilight Zone | Alex Carson

Julius Moomer, whose career path has transitioned from a streetcar conductor to a wanna-be writer, takes research for a series script a little too seriously and conjures up “The Bard” that deserved more credit for his expertise than he’s given, but at the very least, offers an unexpectedly humorous tale in The Twilight Zone that we see leap off-the-page for our entertainment.

All through August of 2020, I'll be sharing my 30 favorite episodes, in no particular order, as part of my series, "August In The Twilight Zone". I'll be covering their synopses & twists, some background around the episodes themselves, and my own thoughts. Today, we're talking about the humorous take on the medium of television, in the Season 4 finale known as "The Bard" (Season 4, Episode 18).
