This video provides an overall introduction to the features of the 100G DR QSFP module(https://www.fs.com/products/184579.html), including appearance, pluggable, and applications.
The 100GBASE-DR module, Duplex LC/UPC connector, up to 500m over parallel single-mode fiber. It is compliant with IEEE 802.3cd, and QSFP28 MSA standards.
The transceiver includes a Broadcom chip to convert the 4x25G NRZ electrical signals to a 1x100G PAM-4 optical signal. Digital diagnostics functions are also available via the I2C interface, as specified by the QSFP MSA, to allow access to real-time operating parameters.
