What is a CETV pension?
Calculating your Cash Equivalent Transfer Value, or CETV is a complicated process that takes into account many factors. The calculation varies with every scheme; typically, it includes a variety of elements, including your contribution to your final salary or average career salary, the number of years you worked for the employer, an accrual rate, and the number of contributions allowed by the plan. As you are aware, if you are a member of the Final Salary Scheme and have safeguarded benefits worth more than £30,000, the FCA requires you to seek financial advice before proceeding with your pension transfer.
