Plot Summary:

The story revolves around The Regis School, a prep school for the privileged but also for students with authority problems. A Colombian drug lord's son, Luis Cali (Andrew Divoff), leads a group of heavily armed terrorists who take the entire school hostage, demanding the release of his imprisoned father.
While authorities, including the FBI and the Army, surround the school and deliberate, a core group of troublemaking students, led by the clever and resourceful Billy Tepper (Sean Astin), decides to use their intimate knowledge of the school and their mischievous skills to resist the captors and gather intelligence for the military. The film escalates into a suspenseful confrontation as the students, including Joey Trotta (Wil Wheaton), work to sabotage the terrorists' plans and help facilitate a rescue mission, leading to a violent climax.
