Jesus taught His disciples not to fear men who can just destroy your body, but to fear God who can destroy both body and soul in hellfire. If you choose to be a disciple of Jesus, Jesus will teach you how to not fear anything but HIM. And if truly you fear God, you will respect other people, you will love other people but you will have fear ONLY for God. If the devil tries to scare you, you keep your eyes on Jesus. You know Satan has tried to stop me from preaching Jesus and from serving Jesus many times. He's tried to scare me by dreams at night. He's tried to scare me by using people who say they're out to get me. He's used many things to try to scare me, but Jesus has been teaching me that we need to ONLY fear HIM, and if you keep your eyes on Jesus, He will NEVER let you down. He is our provider and He is the one who protects us and He keeps our feet out of the snares. I want to read this Psalm from David. It's found in Psalm 23, and I'm going to start in verse 4. It says "Yah though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear NO evil for You are with me. Your rod and Your staff they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies." If you choose to follow Jesus the Lord Jesus will protect you even when your enemies are trying to destroy you. And I don't know how many times the devil has tried to destroy me and how many times people have tried to harm me but the Lord Jesus continues to protect us. So are you a disciple of Jesus and you fear Him? Or do you fear people, do you fear finances, do you fear not having a job if you testify for Jesus? Are all these fears keeping you from truly living for Jesus? Or is the LIVING GOD truly the ONLY ONE you fear. May the grace of Jesus be with you.
