How hashing works for beginners:

Following on from the discussion of public/private key encryption in the first video in this series, here we introduce hashing and hash functions. This second video explains the concepts behind hashing and how it can be used with public/private key encryption to digitally sign documents. These are key elements of a trustless system. Using these techniques we can rely on cryptographic proof, rather than trusted intermediaries.
