Creating short-form content at scale is one of the biggest challenges for modern marketers, and tools like Kubrix AI are popping up to solve that exact problem. In this review, we take a closer look at whether Kubrix can truly generate scroll-stopping, viral-style videos—or if it still has a long way to go.

What is Kubrix AI?

Kubrix AI is a text-to-video generator that’s designed specifically for creating viral-style videos. Unlike other AI tools that try to do everything, Kubrix is laser-focused: its sole purpose is to turn your text into video content with engaging visuals, voiceovers, subtitles, and background music. For example, choosing a news video about nuclear fusion somehow resulted in background footage of bananas or Minecraft-style games.

The AI voiceovers are surprisingly good—users can choose from various voices and listen to samples before selecting. Subtitles and orientation (vertical or horizontal) can also be customized. However, background music sometimes includes lyrics, which can clash with voice narration.

Script Generation

One notable quirk is how the AI script generator responded to the headline “France runs fusion reactor for record 22 minutes” by producing a script in French, despite English being the selected language. Changing the headline to “Scientists run fusion reactor” fixed the issue. The tool does allow script editing, which is helpful for refining length and tone—especially if you're creating content for platforms like TikTok or YouTube Shorts.

Final Verdict

Kubrix gets a lot of things right: it’s fast, the scripts are coherent, and the AI voices are surprisingly natural. But the lack of relevant and diverse background visuals really limits the quality of the final product. Stock footage is repetitive, and users can’t upload their own backgrounds (yet). If Kubrix could expand its media library or allow custom uploads, it would be a game-changer.

For now, Kubrix is promising but not perfect. It may work for certain niches—especially ones that already use game-style visuals or don't rely heavily on context-specific imagery—but for most marketers, the tool might feel limiting.
