How to add surge protector to PoE IP camera and NVR
Actually there are two primary risk for IP security camera system is the power surges and water.
The surge is everywhere and the copper cable could absorb surges from the environment pretty easy especially while you are have the long distance cable between your camera and the PoE Switch.
So you may need to add surge protector to obsorb these surge, but where to add the surge protector, next to your switch or close to your IP camera? People said I already have surge protector in my AC power. It may doesn’t help.
