Patton's Prayer - Alex Kershaw

Описание к видео Patton's Prayer - Alex Kershaw

Alex discusses his latest book at the Friends of the National World War II Memorial's 9th Annual Teachers Conference, "Patton’s Prayer", a true story of courage, faith, and resilience during WWII. In December 1944, General George Patton faced a desperate situation as the Allies were bogged down by relentless rain and mud, halting their advance and grounding American warplanes. Seeking divine intervention, Patton asked his head chaplain for a prayer for better weather, which was then distributed to his 250,000 men. As the Battle of the Bulge commenced, Patton urgently needed an answer to his prayer to combat the overwhelming German forces attacking the American lines in the Ardennes Forest.
