I was simply going over the fiberglass mesh so I wanted it soupy as I brushed it on to hold the mesh as the next day we were going to color coat, when we color coat we use a lot of water thus, the mesh would have just fallen off without the adhesive to attach it firmly. I’ve seen guys apply the tape then use a bonding agent to hold the tape, the problem with this shortcut is everytimes it rains all the tape will reappear.
